Who we are

This site is operated by Iona Mathieson Veterinary Ophthalmology. For any privacy question, contact hello@imev.co.uk.

What we collect

When you book and register a dog for testing, we collect details such as your name, phone number, and other contact details, and your dog's details (for example registered name, breed, date of birth, registration number and microchip number).

How we use it

We use your information to arrange and carry out your appointment, to produce the examination certificate, and to contact you about your booking.

Data shared with the BVA, Kennel Club and ISDS

Registration details collected for eye testing are shared with the BVA, Kennel Club and ISDS as part of the eye scheme. This sharing is a necessary part of taking part in the scheme and producing your certificate.

Booking & payment

Booking and scheduling are handled through our online booking system at book.imev.co.uk. It stores the basic details needed to arrange your appointment. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not collect or store any card or payment details ourselves.

Contact form

Messages sent through the contact form on this site are processed by StaticForms, a third-party form-processing service, and delivered to us by email. We use the details you provide only to answer your enquiry.

How long we keep it

We keep your and your dog's details for 6 months from your last appointment, after which they are automatically deleted from our systems.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal data, including the right to access it, ask for corrections, request erasure, restrict or object to processing, and request data portability. To exercise these rights, contact hello@imev.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been mishandled.

Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. To be confirmed last-updated date to be added on launch.
